Travis Kelce’s cocky four-word message to Raiders after road win

Travis Kelce was feeling confident after his best game of the season in the Chiefs’ 27-20 win over the Raiders on Sunday.

“We run this town,” the All-Pro tight end said as he exited the field at Allegiant Stadium.

Kelce, who was Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ top target, scored his first touchdown of the season in the second quarter to put the Chiefs up, 14-10.

He had 10 catches for 90 yards, which were both season-highs, as the Chiefs improved to 7-0 — as they remained the NFL’s lone unbeaten team.

Kelce’s 75th career touchdown reception, which came on National Tight Ends Day, surpassed Jason Witten for fifth on the NFL tight end list.

He is currently two away from breaking Tony Gonzalez’s team record.

The three-time Super Bowl champ spiked the ball in the end zone while celebrating his score.

Kelce had been candid about his slow start earlier in the season, as he had seen his targets and catches diminish.

There had been plenty of criticism after the 35-year-old had just eight catches through the first three games.

“I think this year, stats may say something different, but at the same time you’ll see the same person inside this building, and that’s all I really care about,” Kelce said in late September. “I’m my own worst critic. Everything outside of this building is just noise.”

Allegiant Stadium was an appropriate place for a comeback game for Kelce.

Just 10 months prior, the Chiefs beat the 49ers in an overtime thriller in Las Vegas to win Super Bowl LVIII.

The Chiefs face the Buccaneers in Kansas City on Nov. 4.
