Stephen A. Smith warns Aaron Rodgers amid Ryan Clark feud

Stephen A. Smith urged Aaron Rodgers not to continue his ongoing feud with ESPN analyst Ryan Clark, suggesting the Jets quarterback should “show us what you got left” on the field instead.

Rodgers and Clark have been locked in a back-and-forth battle after the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback used his segment last week on “The Pat McAfee Show,” which airs on ESPN, to criticize the network for turning into a network of “unfounded” or “asinine” takes.

That prompted Clark to fire back and call Rodgers a “fraud” and “tone-deaf.

In turn, Rodgers, without naming Clark directly, said this week on McAfee’s show that his critics should have to reveal their vaccination status.

Smith weighed in on the drama on his eponymous podcast, calling on Rodgers to move past the whole thing.

“My man, ball and win,” Smith said. “Because the reality is — as great as you are — you haven’t won a Super Bowl since 2010. You haven’t been to the Super Bowl since 2010. And now your career is going in the wrong direction based on wins and losses.

“They want you to dial it back, roll it back to next year with you Davante Adams here next season and beyond — do something about it, bro; show us what you got left.”

He also warned Rodgers that Clark is a formidable foe and that the signal-caller doesn’t have the same platform available to him that the former NFL safety does as a regular football analyst on ESPN.

“You don’t want to go at Ryan Clark. That is not a winnable situation for you, Aaron Rodgers,” Smith said.

Rodgers has made headlines in recent weeks thanks to his strong play on the field in the Jets’ win over the Jaguars, the release of the Netflix documentary focused on Rodgers and his feud with Clark.
