Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum mentioned Monday that america has agreed to pause for one month the implementation of President Donald Trump‘s tariffs on items from her nation.
Sheinbaum additionally mentioned in a tweet, that after talking with Trump, Mexico “will instantly reinforce” its northern border with the U.S. with 10,000 Nationwide Guard troopers “to stop drug trafficking from Mexico to america, significantly fentanyl.”
“We had a superb dialog with President Trump with nice respect for our relationship and sovereignty; we reached a collection of agreements,” Sheinbaum wrote within the tweet, based on a translation from Spanish.
“The US is dedicated to working to stop the trafficking of high-powered weapons to Mexico,” she wrote.
