Mandarin headed to state semifinals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Mandarin boys soccer group is headed to the state semifinals.

The Mustangs, the wire-to-wire group within the Varsity 4 Tremendous 6 the final three seasons, used a powerful begin within the second half to beat Bartram Path 3-1 within the Area 1-6A ultimate on Wednesday night time. The Mustangs scored three minutes aside within the second half and stored that lead till the end.

Mandarin (18-0-2) will face Oviedo (15-3-3) within the Class 6A state semis on the Lake Myrtle Sports activities Park soccer stadium in Auburndale on Feb. 20. The winner will face both Olympic Heights or Mitchell for the championship on Feb. 22 at 4 p.m.
