Asia markets live: RBNZ, RBI decision,

Asia-Pacific markets rebounded on Wednesday following a broad decline in the previous session and as Wall Street rallied overnight. Mainland China’s CSI 300 was an outlier, tumbling almost 2%.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 climbed 0.59%, while the broad-based Topix gained marginally.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index saw a rebound after its worst day in 16 years, advancing 0.22% after falling 9.41% on Tuesday.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.2%.

Investors are focused on policy decisions from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the Reserve Bank of India.

New Zealand’s central bank slashed its policy rate by 50 basis points to 4.75%, while the RBI is expected to hold rates at 6.5%.

South Korea’s markets are closed for a public holiday.
