Footage launch by the Philippine coast guard reveals a Chinese language navy helicopter flying near a Philippine plane patrolling over a disputed space of the South China Sea on Tuesday, 18 February.
In accordance with the coast guard, the helicopter flew inside 3m of the Philippine airplane, prompting the pilot to say: “You’re flying too shut, you’re very harmful,” over the radio.
The Philippine authorities stated it could file a proper protest over the incident.
The Scarborough Shoal within the South China Sea has been contested between the nations since China seized it from the Philippines in 2012.
