The Jaguars are one-half away from the offseason. Can they pull off a comeback against the Colts?
Tank Bigsby had a short rushing touchdown, but Joe Flacco and Indianapolis lead 20-13 in the regular season finale at the break at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Jacksonville beat the Colts 37-34 in Week 5 for its first win of the season. This meeting is all about pride and draft positioning. The Jaguars (4-12) currently hold the No. 5 pick in the draft. The Colts were eliminated from the playoff race last week and are slotted at No. 12, according to draft website Tankathon. Both teams are facing offseasons of uncertainty, with changes expected in Jacksonville. The Colts are in a difficult spot, too, especially with the erratic play and injury history of second-year franchise quarterback Anthony Richardson.
The Colts needed just three plays to find the end zone, with Flacco hitting Alec Pierce on a 40-yard touchdown just 64 seconds into the game. The Jaguars responded quickly, moving 70 yards in 10 plays to set Bigsby up for a 1-yard touchdown run. They grabbed a 10-7 lead on a 53-yard field goal by Cam Little to lead off the second quarter before Indianapolis jumped back in front with a 6-yard touchdown run from Jonathan Taylor.
Devin Lloyd has a sack for the Jaguars, who are playing without edge rusher Josh Hines-Allen. Hines-Allen didn’t make the trip and was listed as out due to personal reasons. Receiver Brian Thomas Jr. has two catches for 58 yards. His first reception went down to the 2 and set up Bigsby’s short touchdown run.
