Deion Sanders calls out ‘IDIOTS’ over NFL rumors around sons

Deion Sanders’ past comments about having his son Shedeur pull an Eli Manning are already creating problems as the NFL draft order nearly sets itself in stone.

Sanders appears to have seen some speculation that he is already plotting to hold out his sons from playing on certain teams.

“It will be multiple IDIOTS that will say things that totally aren’t true regarding where I would like @ShedeurSanders & @ShiloSanders to play in the @nfl. If I say it I will say it directly to whom it may concern not a attention seeker. I do know @nflcommish personally! [Mic] drop,” Sanders wrote on X on Monday.

“They’ve already started the lying and positioning but they forgot I got TIME TODAY,” Sanders added.

While it’s unclear what specifically Sanders is referring to. There was a tweet earlier Monday from a troll account that impersonates a reporter, which stated that Shedeur isn’t interested in playing for the Titans or Browns, who currently own the Nos. 2 and 3 picks in the draft, respectively.

Sanders has previously said that Shedeur and Heisman Trophy-winning cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter will only play on certain teams when they enter the draft.

“Top four,” Sanders said in March 2024 when asked where he thinks Shedeur and Hunter will be drafted. “Anywhere from one through four. One of them is going to be [number] one… And the latter one will not go behind four.

“Now, all of this is subjective because I know where I kinda want them to go, and let’s not forget [Buffaloes safety] Shilo [Sanders], but I know where I want them to go. So, there are certain cities that ain’t gonna happen… It’s going to be an Eli [Manning]. We ain’t doing it.”

The Patriots are currently slated to pick No. 1, followed by the Titans, Browns and Giants.
