Fireman Ed reignites Jets beef with Jumbotron freeze-out claim

Fireman Ed once again claimed the Jets were trying to hide his presence at MetLife Stadium.

After the Jets’ 19-9 loss to the Rams, the franchise’s famed fan claimed in a post on social media that he was not being shown on the video board alongside other well-known Jets fans as they chanted.

“I am at the game but this is the second home game in a row I’m not included on the jumbotron to do the chant with the Scott [Mullery] & Jetman,” the Instagram Story was captioned along with a collage of photos of Fireman Ed at the game.

This was the second time this season that the Jets superfan, whose real name is Ed Anzalone, has used social media to claim he wasn’t getting as much screen time as he used to while at Jets games.

Anzalone has become well-known for leading the J-E-T-S chant during Jets home games.

In a second post on his story, Anzalone shared a photo of two other Jets superfans being shown on the video board while adding the bulging eyes emoji and followed it up with another message.

“I’m here and supporting no matter what! God bless, Go Jets,” another Instagram Story caption read.

Anzalone first aired his grievance about the screen time back in October when he made a video about it that he shared on his Instagram.

In the video, he claimed the team was “phasing us out” when discussing the situation.

Jets fans seemed to disown Fireman Ed’s claims in October when Post readers took to the comment section to react to the news.

“Definition of entitlement? Boo hoo I’m not on the big screen at the stadium!” one person wrote.

“Can we trade him to a west coast team?” another added.

The Jets have one final home game this season when they take on the Dolphins in Week 18.
