JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has officially announced he will forego his last year of college eligibility and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. He announced his plans in a social media post on Saturday.

Beck had surgery earlier this week on his right elbow to repair his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL). He’s expected to make a full recovery and start throwing in the spring. Beck was injured in the last play of the first play during the Bulldogs’ SEC Championship win against Texas.

Over the past two seasons as the starting quarterback, Beck threw for 7,426 yards and 52 touchdowns completing 68% of his passes. He also threw 18 interceptions with 12 thrown this season.

Beck grew up in Jacksonville and won a state championship with the Mandarin Mustangs in 2018.
