Inflation has steadily cooled over the past two years, with prices for items such as gasoline, used cars, and energy all seeing a decline. But food prices continue to outpace inflation, increasing by 28% since 2019. In a survey by RR Donnelley, 86% of consumers reported feeling frustrated with rising grocery prices, and over a third said they have resorted to buying fewer items to save money. So why are grocery prices still so high? And what can be done to bring the cost down?
