Howard Eskin shouted at female WIP employee before exit

Philadelphia sports radio host Howard Eskin reportedly shouted at a female employee shortly before he abruptly left 94.1 WIP last month.

Eskin, who is the father of former WFAN programmer and current WIP afternoon host Spike Eskin, shouted at the female employee after a remote radio broadcast at a South Philly Chickie’s & Pete’s restaurant, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported

The report did not detail the exact specifics of the incident but said the incident occurred at a remote broadcast that Eskin hosted with Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham.

Audacy, which is the parent company of WIP, and Eskin have not publicly commented on the new report.

A short time later, Eskin announced that he was leaving the sports talk station that he had broadcast on for nearly 40 years, though no detailed explanation was ever provided.

“I leave the station with great affection for the listeners who have made the work I do so fulfilling during my time there,” Eskin wrote on X in December. “I’m looking forward to what comes next career-wise. I promise you’ll be the first to know.”

In a statement, an Aucacy spokesperson at the time had said that the two sides “parted ways” and thanked Eskin “for his years of contributions to WIP.”

This comes after it was reported in July that Eskin had been banned from Citizens Bank Park after making unwanted advances toward a female Aramark employee who worked at the Phillies’ home stadium.

The employee accused Esskin of giving her an “unwanted kiss.”

The former WIP host acknowledged the incident later in the month.

“I apologized to her at the time of the incident and I apologize again now. I’m truly sorry that this did occur,” he said on the air less than a month after the story was first reported.
