Steve Bannon, a long-time ally of President Donald Trump, has pleaded responsible to defrauding donors who paid for a wall on the US-Mexico border.
Bannon obtained a sentence of conditional discharge for 3 years, which suggests he won’t serve jail time underneath a plea settlement.
The US Division of Justice accused Bannon and three others of defrauding a whole lot of hundreds of donors in reference to the “We Construct the Wall” marketing campaign, which raised $25m (£19m).
Bannon’s lawyer mentioned on Tuesday he did not personally pocket any of the cash.
