Will Colts end their skid in Jacksonville or will Jags get in win column?

Season record: 2-2.

How does the old saying go, close but no cigar? Well that’s what it was for the Jaguars last week and as I’ve said for the past 3 weeks I’m not picking them until they prove me wrong and why they might have been close last week. They did not prove me wrong. So, this week I’m going to have to go with the Colts. I don’t want to go with the Colts. Some people don’t understand that sometimes you’ve got to do a little bizarro pick so that a team can come out on top. But I’m going to go with Indianapolis. Maybe this is the week where I’m wrong and I hope so. — Colts 27, Jaguars 21.

Season record: 1-3.

The Jaguars let me down last week. They had Houston on the ropes but you just knew that they weren’t going to be able to close. The good news is that the Colts never win in Jacksonville (last W here was in 2014) and could have Joe Flacco in the lineup at quarterback. Flacco, of course, shredded Jacksonville last year with the Browns. Anthony Richardson could get the nod, too. All that to say, I think the dreaded streak ends this week for Jacksonville. — Jaguars 21, Colts 17.

Season record: 2-2.

I should bet against the Jaguars, but let’s have some fun and pick them anyways. Between coach Tom Coughlin’s induction into the Pride of the Jaguars and the throwback jerseys, hopefully something sparks the team. They’re back in the ‘Bank so I think that also will help as the team will hopefully vibe from the crowd excitement. They’re also getting a few starters back like Devin Lloyd and Darnell Savage so that will help as well. The Colts have a banged up Anthony Richardson who is questionable to play Sunday and then Joe Flacco as the backup quarterback. Unfortunately, the Jaguars are missing their two best defenders in Josh Hines-Allen, who head coach Doug Pederson said was “still in the [concussion] protocol. Optimistic though, but he’s doing well.” They are also missing Foye Oluokun who is on IR. But I think the Jaguars can win this game. — Jaguars 17, Colts 14.

I said I wouldn’t pick the Jags until I was proven wrong and I’m standing on business. Streaks always come to an end at some point and this may finally be the year. I say that, but the Colts without Johnathan Taylor … hmmm, sooo, you are saying there is a chance? The Jags are due and they are close and the team is upset about the reports about the locker room. The quickest way to quiet critics it to get a win. Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if they won but I said I wouldn’t pick them until they win, so I won’t. — Colts 25 Jaguars 20.

Bonus picks from Hard Rock bets:
